May 19th, from 10:00 am to noon
Over The Rainbow: Lag B’Omer @ Siempre Verde Garden. Join us on Sunday, May 19th, from 10:00 am to noon for some outdoor Lower East Side family fun with the StantonKIDS! We’ll celebrate nature with activities at the Siempre Verde Garden right across the street from the historic Stanton Street Shul! Come enjoy nature on Lag B’Omer, the spring day when we remember the promise, or covenant, of a green world. We’re shooting for some Holiday Fun for LES History Month with a great StantonKIDS children’s event run in partnership with the Siempre Verde Garden (181 Stanton Street) and the Sixth Street Synagogue (325 E. 6th Street).
We invite kids of all ages, friends and families, to come join the fun with our wonderful, professional teachers. We’ll be decorating pots and putting seeds into them. And we’ll do some fun marshmallow roasting! What could be better than creating art and learning about Lag B’Omer in a Lower East Side community garden with communities housed in two historic synagogues?
Bad weather? We’ll be indoors at the Shul, and bring nature in with us.
