Based on the Lower East Side in New York City\, the Mencius mission is defined by a commitment to fostering lifelong learning and intergenerational engagement around the arts as a communal experience rooted in cultural memory and shared creative action. Founded in 2003 Mencius is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization and a key partner of Grand St. Settlement since 2019.
